I was going to say something about the Detroit vs. Minnesota game Friday night but like most other Wild fans I think I’d rather just forget it ever happened. I would however like to give Gaborik a 9.9 on that somersault.
Instead, I thought I’d switch gears a bit and talk about the NHLPA’s announcement of NHL PLAYERS ‘GOING GREEN’ WITH DAVID SUZUKI. I wanted to mention this not only because I think it’s a good cause but also because David Suzuki is one of my heroes. If you don’t know who he is I’d recommend going to his site and finding out why he’s had an effect on me. I grew up watching his show and he really was like a teacher to me. I’m sure I learned more from him about nature and the environment than all my science teachers combined. Maybe because I paid attention to him!
In any case, it’s nice to see the NHL team up with someone like David Suzuki. It’s not like they need to win me over as a fan but it definitely makes me feel like I’m supporting a business with a little integrity. Something which sometimes lacks in the business world today.
