South Park had it right “Blame Canada!”

Canada’s loss to Sweden in the preliminary round means a Canada – U.S. championship game rematch won’t happen. If they can get by Switzerland (if they don’t I might go down to the U.S immigration office and apply for my U.S citenzenship) Canada will face the Americans in the semi-finals tomorrow night at 7:30pm EST.

Shaky goaltending! Roy had a bad game. He fought the puck, gave up too many rebounds and dropped down early on most shots. Sweden knew that and that’s why they just threw everything on net high. Visentin has had much better puck control and right now would give Canada a better chance to win.

US World Junior Hockey Team gets by Finland in OT

Nick Bjugstad scored with 1:52 left in overtime and Team USA opened defence of its world junior hockey championship title with a 3-2 win over Finland on Sunday night.

2011 World Junior Hockey Tournament kicks off today

Let the games begin! They should change Boxing Day to WJHC day.

Team Switzerland and Team Germany will take to the ice at HSBC arena Sunday afternoon to start the 11-day World Junior Championship tournament.

Roy to start in net for Canada vs Russia. Should be a spirited affair.

WORLD POWERHOUSES CANADA AND RUSSIA TAKE TO THE ICE

Last year’s gold medal winners U.S.A wrap up the first day of the tournament with a game versus Finland.
